I got the Bushwackers and sport hood on a couple hours ago about to go out and break down the clear coat and build her back up.

I left the rear bumper caps off do you think I should put them on? I'll get some comparisons in a little bit. Also thinking about blacking out the silver grille inside the scoop, let me know what you think.

no wonder I was confused

I always confused you and Roor- you are one in the same?

Looks good with the Bushwackers.:guitar3:

Aye RooR was my old name haha I bet you were confused

I like it! what all are you gonna do with the frame treatment?

Found the right paint to be able to coat the underside and help treat and prevent rust at the same time, so ifs components frame wheel wells and rear axle will get attention

Your rig looks sweet! I like the all black. The tan and grey were cool but all black just looks tits. I say keep the caps and paint the scoop inner black. In the second to last pic it looks black already. (Maybe I missed that you already painted it) Oh yeah, love the rack, is it noisy and will it allow a sunroof to open?

Haven't painted it yet, deciding on the color. Took the badges off the rear and gave them a coat of some Duplicolor Graphite I had left over. I was thinking of doing the scoop inside this color but my roommate thinks just black

Very nice 4Runner and I am really liking those LC wheels.

I have a question, did you have to use wheel spacers with the LC wheels and 315/75's?

alright thought i'd throw some pictures up of todays progress. finish coating the whole frame and wheel wells, axle, headers, exhaust and muffler. and thanks to Meguiar's Ultimate Compound broke the oxidation and water spots completely down to match with the new paint of the flares and sport hood. its the best the paint has ever looked. tomorrow we're finishing it up with the wax but i gotta head out now

Man your truck is a beast. Are your bumpers coated with a Rhino liner type paint? One of the best beast looking runners i have ever seen.

Its Herculiner, DIY liner found at most auto stores. The texture is inconsistent as it was one of the first mods I attemped almost 4 years ago. But even still with a good semi annual paint job she's held up to some good abuse.

Man that coating on the frame is really neat looking...when are you gonna be back up in the Atlanta area so I can steal your rims? Just kidding, so I can politely ask for your rims and you hand them over?

That looks very nice....may I ask u the process and exactly the name of the product you used to paint the inner fenders?...I asked this question a few months ago because I wanted to paint them but no one ever responded with a speciffic answer.

Thanks in advance..

BTW...your truck is badass...

I don't know the next time I'll be in Atlanta, but thanks for reminding me to buy the key lock lug nuts.

The paint is Krylon Rust Tough Semi Gloss enamel. Prep is simple wiping and light abrasion. Tape off accordingly. Spray a couple light coats then come through again with 2 heavier coats. The paint covers really well just make sure the tip is clean so it will spray even. Pretty easy stuff.

You've probably explained somewhere before, but is that yellow air hose for an air locker?

Oh, and locking lugs are probably overkill...I don't have a jack big enough to get your wheels off the ground! However, I do want LC/LX450 rims so if you see any anywhere let me know!

Speaking of Krylon and the cruiser wheels, I decided to paint the rims today. I ditched the Duplicolor idea last minute and went with more Krylon Hammer Tough...this time in flat black. These rims came out great considering the amount of rock rash on them. Thanks to a deck of cards and 3 cans of this stuff I got it done in 3 hours. Now the exterior is almost done
