I'm using the 31M instead of the Sears Platinum AGM GR 31...they are discontinuing it. Most everything I've been reading has a Northstar out in front of every other battery. A friend that builds boats also highly recommend them.

The best price I could find was West Marine, but this beats it.

As far as everything(cables) reaching, that remains to be seen. If I have cross that bridge once I get it. My plan with the new truck, is waive the second battery, build my own full length roof rack, and incorporate a drop in solar panel over the sun roof area, to supplement the fridge running all summer.

I'm also going to carry as small li-ion battery pack for emergency starts.

Can someone elaborate on this? What is proper maintenance for one of these batteries?

He is also the owner of Samoorian supply in Missouri.




He is an AUTHORIZED vendor thru Northstar. You may find him listed as Samoorian supply: NorthStar Ultra High Performance Batteries - 99.9% Pure Lead AGM Plate Technology




He told me straight up that his website under Samoorian supply didn't work, so don't panic if you google them and find nothing. When I contacted Northstar on the group buy, Northstar gave me this guy's contact number. Therefore, that tells us he is legit.




We will start ordering next week.




So this is what is going to happen:




1. You will each email Samoorian Supply with your battery sizes and the agreed price, tell him you are part of the TW and T4R.org group buy, provide your screen name.




2. He will then email you a paypal invoice.




3. Once 21 batteries have been paid for, they WILL start shipping.




4. Not all batteries are in stock, luckily, Northstar is in Springfield, Missouri. He lives and works in Springfield, Missouri. Therefore, when he runs out of batteries, he can head out to Northstar and pick the remaining up. Please, make your payments ASAP. Let's avoid having him do multiple trips.




5. We will start making payments on Monday and this will close on Friday.




6. Shipping will start in a max 7 - 10 days thru FedEx, possibly earlier. Shipping confirmations WILL be sent.

I went a did a quick Amazon search on them:

Apparently these two chargers are the same thing. Except they're branded/rebranded, you know how it goes.



You will get the "NORTHSTAR" version for $95 and is originally priced at $139.



I do not know much about these, all I did is look at the reviews on Amazon to see what people thought about them.
