wow she looked like a Beast before the swap too!!! ha what size tires did u run before?? and what lift??
 
I've ran...

Tires: 32s, 33s, 34s and now 37s. (the pictures were with 33s)
Lift: OME, Icon and now SAS with a 1.5" BL


When I first bought the truck, I actually considered installing Nitrous Enterprises spacer lift (horrible company)...thankfully, Bulldog and a few others pioneered using the OMEs from the Prado.
 
could a shop do the body mount mod and if so im sure they would charge a butt load for it wouldnt they??
 
Wow, nice work. I gotta ask though...how much $$ did the SAS run? I gotta start saving up...I'm sure a 4th gen will be in my future.

And not that it matters at this point b/c you're running arb lockers, but what did you loose by doing the SAS? i.e. factory traction aides and what not.

Again, glad to someone step up and do something like this to a 4th gen.
 
I have 1 truck for the price of 2. VSC, ATRAC and ABS are gone (no existing way to put the sensors in the front axle). Like you said, lockers negate the need for those and the computer would probably freak out trying to figure out ABS with 37s anyway. I have no more nanny systems...like my old 88 Pathfinder (loved that truck).

Ok, that's what I thought (nanny systems gone that is).

Was it difficult making everything work together w/ all the new stuff? Anotherwords, was it tough to trick the vehicle into thinking you didn't change a lot of factory components?
 
As long as the speedo gets a signal from the rear ABS sensors or the tranny (if you remove the rear sensors too), the truck is fully operational...minus VSC, ATRAC and ABS and those lights must be pulled or deactivated in the dash.
