Post-lift CV angle

Thanks a lot for chiming in.

I just want to be sure prior to undoing the bolt there that there isn't any offset spring pressure where it could rip out of my hand or wouldn't be able to get it lined back up.

When I installed mine with the lift, I used the ratchet strap technique. The links are simply that, a link. They are not held under spring tension. I would run a ratchet strap around the rear axle (being careful not to disturb any brake lines, etc) to the mid-crossmember. Tighten it only until it takes up the slack. Then, remove the bolt, follow the steps mentioned above, and tighten/loosen the ratchet strap to align the hole as needed upon re-assembly.

Awesome. Did you happen to get any pics of how you routed your strap? I'm fairly positive I can figure it out but pictures are always nice.

Sorry, for some reason my phone won't upload the pics. I just out into the garage and hooked the ratchet strap up with every intention of posting pics. Oh well, it is very simple really. Instead of wrapping the rear axle, place the hook on the bottom of the bracket for the panhard bar. Then, run it up to the hole on the bottom of the mid crossmember.

It does not have to be specific, as long as you are not tightening the strap on any lines or fragile pieces.

Wow, thanks for trying to get pics real quick either way bro.

Thanks Jono.ful. I figured it wouldn't be an issue for street driving; but would for off road driving. I guess it depends on how much off roading one does.

How did you get the length setting for the alignment?Your supposed to match them up to the length of the factory ones by putting the bolts in to line them up for initial setting. Mine had to be screwed in the whole way and they were still a little longer then factory length.

I matched them to the factory lower links per LT's recommendation. In doing this, mine still have about 3 threads exposed once the nut is tightened down.

I just looked at my MT's and have one thread showing and I matched them to my factory lower links too so maybe there are some variances.Pics are linked in my build thread of when I installed them.
The point being though that who knows where swimmerdude's lines up unless he does the same and/or probably need to find somebody that can center the rear axle ......or just guess which way to turn the rod ends. I guess by turning them the same way will at least keep it tracking straight.

If I do it myself I plan on just turning each a half turn the same way just to get the grease zerk on the other side. Of course this somewhat relies on the assumption that the current length setting is correct from the shop I went to hahaha... I still have my lower links by the way, would that help at all?

LT told me I could run the offsets at the same length or 0.25" longer when I initially asked what it should be set at.

Yea, must be slight variances. As far as swimmerdude's, I guess I was assuming the shop did his correctly. If they are stock length right now, I don't think it would be a big deal to change each the same amount (1/2 turn).
swimmerdude1127 if you have the one side dropped down, all you have to do to completely remove them is take the other bolt out. Voila, they will drop right out. I would do one side at a time though. BTW, do you have your old ones to compare to?
