4.3l vortec engine with g52 tranny
5inch soft ride springs all leaf lift
single 4.7 transfer case
front and rear ARB lockers
On board air and spare fuel tank.
water heater for hot showers
dual battery's

Well i got one side done so far once i finish the other side i will be posting pics of the front bumper swing out tire rear bumper and frame sliders with rocker panel replacement.

I thought about rustoleum but it wouldn't be tough enough to hold up to the environment of a expedition vehicle. So i went with Hurculiner white.

the previous owner dented the crap out the truck so i had a lot of work to do.
Let me know what you guys think!

:frisky: When preparing the brand new fender for paint i used enamel rustoleum on the inside and a white primer on the outside since im not puting the bedliner on the inside it made more sense

:lookout:
After the crazy amount of white primer to mask the filler and high build primer
She gets the Hurculiner and im pleased

i used 3 coats of gloss enamel rustoleum for the bed rails so they will seal with the topper on if i put bedliner on the rails it would leak. this will also make it easy on my hands when i climb into the back area for cargo and passengers.

im not the first person to do this but it is a novel idea!
i plan on doing a coat of UV Resistor clear coat to protect it from sun damage.
you guys out west in the heat might want to think hard about doing this in really high temps this stuff can weep unless you do the UV clear coat in 4 coats.

That Vortex is going to be a monster in that light little truck. You're going to have torque dripping out all over the ground.

Why not dual cases? The g52 will take them, won't it?

About time I see some progress out of you. I was beginning to wonder if you owned a Toyota at all. :biggrin2:

I know yours is not bright orange but you will have the most people ask how did you get the paint to do that!!!

looks good. I did they same thing and took my handles and locks off.. my liner had the clear coat built into it. Did you roll it or spray it on?

Thanks guys! It's a roll on bedliner. I dont want dual cases because it's a expedition rig not a rock climber
the 4.3 vortec is 210hp 184 ftlbs so its almost double the 22re in hp but only 65 more torque so its not a bad swap.

Looks Great. Lots of Guys do this to their Expo FJ80's out here. I am considering doing this to my 3rd Gen windows down. I'm curious did you roll it or shoot it? I will be watching this great build.

When do we get to see gas can holders? I'm dying.lol

the fuel cans will be on the passenger side once i fabricate the new fuel door area and box in for on board air hookups and generator power hookups

Are you leaving the front shaft/birfs stock or plan on going 30 spline? I would be concerned with the ARB and 4.3 tearing the stockers apart.
