Recommndations for fuse/relay block options?

After a couple hours of digging here on the forum, I'm still not clear on a good option here. It looks like Erik @ Wiredwagon is no longer making the Bussmann boxes, so what's the next best alternative? SPod?

Planning to wire up (2) 6" Rigid SR's, (1) Rigid 20" SR's up front, and (2) 6" Rigid SR Floods or Duallys on the rear. Also need a full time powered lug in the cargo area for the fridge.

I'm pretty certain I lack the aptitude to put together the box myself from scratch, so buying is probably best. Any recommendations?

Bluesea is a great option. If you are stuck on the bussmann option I can certainly help you assemble it as I am in Houston and have the tools and the know-how. You can buy the box, terminals, terminal seals here:

I used Painless Wiring's CirKit Boss 7-cct auxiliary fuse block on both my 4R and my F250. Works good and wasn't too pricey.
 
Skygear makes them he is in here and usually hangs out on the tacoma forum, does the best job I have seen making them.
 
There is a thread on TW about Skygear taking months and months for orders and still no product for several people and lacking communications. A good friend of mine just got his after 6 weeks and looks like he shipped his in front of people that ordered before him. Also it was missing some leads.
Sounds like from the thread that the guy is super busy with a full time job and family. I would be cautious about placing an order with him till he gets things under control with his current orders.

You should really check out a new product on the market Called NSA(no strings attached). Its from Trail Toys and allows you to hook up 8 items that are controlled with a remote. Similar to Spod but a better value. Owner is Nathan and a sponsor this year at Jambo. Super nice guy and saw this product in use when he tested it on his truck.

When you think about the cost of quality switches, fuse block, wires, mount and the time to hook it up the NSA is a great value.

I think it is like anything out there. A one person operation making a quality product. Who supports his family etc. I also saw this guy go through a raid for suspected bomb making and had everything taken and still made good on his orders. I dont know what is going on with thise who are waiting I am not them and not in that mix. I did order from him and willing to wait a little while. After multiple emails and speaking with him for hours on the phone To help me sort out my needs I can understand why it takes a little time and am willing to wait. Kinda look at it like raven concealment when they got hit up or the wait with Larue, totally worth it in the end. I will post up an install when mine comes in. To each his own just want to share my positive experience first hand not a second hand one.
 
Now heads up between the Blue Seas and the Bussman fuseblock using both of them in the past. The Bussman is the winnder btween the two. Seals up tight, lookcs better installed and you can do more with the relays in the box. The Blue Seas while easy to modify is not water nor mudproof, dont mount under the hood only in the cab, the wiring is not as neat and you have to use sperate relays. Some order from Waytech but you may want to get one or two in on the order since they have minimums. It will run you about $130 to get the smaller Bussman put together without wire or sheathing. That is not using Duetch connectors either just the Delphi metripak.

Sounds like it hasn't been field proven yet, but am thinking there really isn't too much to go wrong, so I may move on it.

Great to hear. Plus he is in Houston so he is local to you.

**edit** Just talked to Nathan and he confirmed he has been running the unit for 9 months on his truck with no issues. Said to email him if you have any questions. [email protected] Also said since you are local he could probably help hook it up.

I bought the Blue Sea Systems 6 fuse block with negative. No complaints as of yet. I also added a battery isolator just for fun.
