Solutions for FOB banging against dash?

This may be a small nit, but with the key in the ignition, the FOB keeps banging against the hard plastic below. I'm thinking of adding a strip of foam or silicone to the dash to reduce the noise, but was wondering if anyone has a better suggestion. Another option could be to get a silicone FOB cover, but I couldn't find one for our FOBs.

I thought about decoupling the FOB from the key, but that doubles the likelihood of losing or misplacing the key or the FOB .

I also thought of some kind of a holster, but I hate to take on another project and I can't find a premade one.

The radio might be a solution .

So far I think the best near term solution is to glue something soft to the dash - a bit lame, but effective.

Go to home depot in the door / window section. Get a roll of adhesive foam. Cut a small strip. Place there.

Glue the fob to the key (reminds me of Night Shift, "just feed the mayo to the Tunas")

I would say you clip that chain off and use a normal size key ring. Or you could get real crazy with it and convert your ignition to a push button start and not have to worry about a key

My brother with a Ford Mustang... his solution to creaking body panels, weird noises, and other sounds is to get louder exhaust.

Yup, that's along the lines of what I was envisioning, thanks! I rounded up some leftover adhesive weatherstrip foam in the workshop, so this is what I did for now. Not pretty (though not very visible to the driver, so who cares), and ahhh, the sounds of silence . Maybe I should patent it .
