Rough case assembly and placement. Had to turn a 90 with the air chuck. I'll make up something to roll the hose and cord on. Probably going to mount those to the door for rolling them up. I'll be able to organize air chucks and adapters on the inside that way.

Started the frame for the access door. Next is coming up with a frame for the gasket and a way to lock it from the inside.

My new toy just showed up. I also have a 4 foot firefly antenna to mount. I'm looking at redesigning my dash to ultimately have this, my stereo, a backup screen and ham radio all in the center. Hopefully I'll find some time to get back to fabricating soon.

Yea, just got my license and a Kenwood TM-281A to go with it.

Wow, you're doing something pretty awesome and unique here! Very, very curious to see how this turns out and how you bring everything together! I like how you're willing to think out side the box, like adding a camping toilet or raising the roof (which ties in well with the replacement, custom hatch. You'll be set come zombie time or bug out situations! Looking forward to following this further!

Thanks. It was the biggest cut I've made so far. I figured just rip it off like a band aid and build my way out of it. Let's just say it was a long day to get it sealed up with a temporary cap. It should make a great bug out rig when the zombies come.

I've been missing the flat brown paint, so I found a darker shade and started painting. It looks better with the silver I think.

Here ya go. Everything on top is temporary to keep the rain out. It'll be nice when I get the top made.

Put an OD green 4runner badge on the back. Got it off one of my tailgates and drilled for the rivets.

I have a frame for the back roof. I'm making a lockable mount for the shovel and an open able door for an evaporative cooler. I'll start to skin it with metal monday.

Just about ready to install the roof piece.

Finally, no more galvanized top visible from the back. I'm going to work on hinges for the cap and a shovel mount next.
