Sleeps 2 comfortably, it has a 110v Air Conditioner/heat pump that a single Honda 2000 will run. This pic is the day I bought it at the auction, it has new shades from T@b and a remote Fantastic vent installed now.

I've decided, for now, to go through with the rental of the E1 pop-up in July to see how the family does. I'm hoping it's a good compromise between roughing it in a tent and dragging a house behind me. I'll resurrect the thread with some pics and thoughts after the trip...but feel free to keep her going! :thumb3:

So, Brock, I've been checking out a Rock Warrior Tundra at the dealership where I bought my Trail since we started looking into travel trailers. I liked a lot of things about it (backseat has way more room for three kids, I like the bed for bikes, etc.) but I'm also worried about fuel economy. My daily commute is 12 minutes each way on city streets. Unless we're doing something outdoorsy/off roady, we usually travel in our minivan on the weekends, so highway miles are rare. Having said that, I've had the Trail since February 2012 and have just passed 7500 miles two days ago. I am averaging 14.6 miles/gallon over that span.

What's been your experience with the Tundra as far as comparable fuel economy/off road worthiness?

My Tundra 5.7 4x4 DC in the mountains of southwest VA gets 14.36 day in and day out. I drive backroads to and from work at 50 mph. Highway - I get about 17, more if I keep it below 70.

Bought a 2009 Jayco Baja 10Y. Fits in the garage! Guy was first owner, garaged it since new, threw in a P3 brake controller and a spare tire carrier mounted rear view camera with it's own dedicated 7" screen.

I picked it up by myself. Had to pay attention to keep it under 60 on the freeway. Engine was at 1800 RPM @ 60 mph. Mind you, I live on the coast in SoCal so elevation was not an issue.

I did notice the rear end drop quite a bit, as seen in the attached pic. Airbags? Stiffer something-or-other?

Airbags will fix the sag and I also noticed a big improvement when I upgraded the shocks. Below is my A122 a-frame camper, it weighs about 2500lbs loaded, the airbags are set at about 18psi.

I'm trying to weigh the pros and cons of trading up for the Tundra RW.

Air Bags/Air Compressor?

Any advice on airbag brands before I go in to order?

Also: Should I be getting an air compressor? I can see going to the gas station to inflate the airbags before a trip, but once unhooked at destination I'll want to deflate for short runs/running trails. I'll need to inflate again to tow home. I figure I might as well get something that will also allow me to air down/ up tires. Any words of wisdom on a good product?
