Airlift has the air inlet on the bottom and the Firestone bags have the inlet at the top. Some people have voiced concern with the airlines getting caught (which could happen but so far haven't seen the evidence of it on this site.) lots of guys run the airlift on here.

You could just throw a small 12V air compressor anywhere in your new toy. One additional plus is the spare 12V battery you will now have.

Bought a 2009 Jayco Baja 10Y. Fits in the garage! Guy was first owner, garaged it since new, threw in a P3 brake controller and a spare tire carrier mounted rear view camera with it's own dedicated 7" screen.

I picked it up by myself. Had to pay attention to keep it under 60 on the freeway. Engine was at 1800 RPM @ 60 mph. Mind you, I live on the coast in SoCal so elevation was not an issue.

I did notice the rear end drop quite a bit, as seen in the attached pic. Airbags? Stiffer something-or-other?

I am sure you will be happy with that! Much easier to pack your gear with that front deck on there, and it shouldn't ever white knuckle ya! Happy camping!

I installed the Airlift airbags and Bilstein 5100s on my SR5 towing a 3200 lb trailer. The airbags definitely help with the sag but possibly more importantly help with weight distribution over the axles. I had access to a scale and saw a noticeable difference on weight of the front axle with the airbags inflated and deflated. Anyway, I fully recommend them.

The shocks were also a noticeable upgrade during towing and everyday driving. It took about 2 hrs to install the airbags and about 5 hrs for the shocks. My skill level is pretty mediocre, and I think that anyone reading these forums can probably do the installs themselves.

I went with a weight distributing hitch. Worked out great! Went to Huntington Lake in the Sierra's for 5 nights. It was about 350 miles each way. Went over the Grapevine with no issues - no sway, felt solid. Climbed to 7500 feet with no issues other than some gear hunting. Averaged 17 mpg @ 55.

Since this is 'Merica, I'm going to call BS.You can't tow anything but a 4x6 UHAUL with anything smaller than a 1ton diesel. In fact, you need over-sized, mud-tires and a several feet lift on your dually in order to pull a light trailer with a couple side by sides on it to the trail head.

I have to say, however, that I am considering a switch to a Land Cruiser for more interior space. The third row would be nice (I have a Trail).
