All of our silicone hoses are 3 ply polyester reinforced construction with a temperature range from -20º to 350º. The advantage that a silicone radiator hose has over a standard rubber radiator hose is that the silicone hose can handle much greater temperatures and they are resistant to ozone exposure, oil, and other engine fluids and electrochemical degradation, which means that silicone radiator hoses last about five times longer than a standard rubber radiator hose

Basically it wont deteriorate like a rubber hose will and last a lot longer. They hold up to higher temperatures better than rubber hoses do also.

Mine are starting to buldge at the ends by the radiator on hot days after a long drive so I know it is time to change them out. Might as well go with a better hose this time around.

Here are a couple pics of the dash. Color matched housings and custom fittings for in-cab winch control and 4 switch bank. I still have a few blanks to fill, but I should have 2 to 3 spots available for future goodies. [MENTION=98812]shouldbeasy[/MENTION] that is a good idea to expand the factory top 2 switch to 3.

I would definitely be open for a ride. I usually ride with the GA Cruiser since most of my 4runner friends are south of I-20. Will you be attend the ACC Fall Gathering in November. There is a group of 5 4runners heading up there on the 8th in November.

Hump Day!!!


I purposely timed the start of this project with 'Black Friday', 'Cyber Monday', and every other Holiday sale available. It has saved me a ton of money. Just about everything has been 20% off, and I got free shipping on the housing! Parts and pieces are starting to arrive and will be for the next month.

The build plan:
Trail-Gear fabricated housing with chromos and chromo toyota outers. I know it's no Diamond, and not tons, but should fit my build perfectly. Also, my front will match my full-float rear. I already know how to assemble/service the hub/spindle, and cuts down on the parts in my "Oh Sh!t Kit" trail box.


3 linked front with Ballistic joints (thanks [MENTION=51127]Dous[/MENTION]) high steer with PSC hydro assist (thanks [MENTION=47896]ADH8796[/MENTION]), lots more stuff from Ruffstuff, Frontier4x4, TMR, and Ballistic Fabrication.
ORI struts (again thanks [MENTION=47896]ADH8796[/MENTION]). This should free up some room since I will not need Bumps, straps, or a sway bar.
I will blame all this on [MENTION=8883]LINY4Runner[/MENTION], and [MENTION=56044]downpour11[/MENTION]. It's all your fault.

It will be a long process. I have the week off between Christmas and New Year and hope to get a jump start. Not setting a timeline because everything, even simple projects, take longer than I plan. It will be done when its done.

Goals:
*Stay Low! Will likely be going through fender wells, and arching panhard.
*Must be alignable and drivable at highway speeds. I will be driving this to/from trails and events. Thousand of miles across many states.

I've already crashed thru "buyers remorse" while shifting gears….I'm on to the euphoric stage as parts arrive. I'll slide into depression during the build and hopefully find happiness on the other side.

All of my IFS stuff (toytec coil overs, Light Racing UCA's with NIB bushings, RCV axles, Front Diff 4:88 with ARB, BudBuilt Skid Plates, Limit Straps and Clevis, etc etc) will soon be For Sale.

I have a few smaller projects I need to update also. I will get on that. Like this one:

Any ideas what that is going to be? Hint: It's not a skid plate, or winch plate/fairlead.

Anyway. I know it is a huge undertaking and I hope I don't kill the truck, but I'm excited about it.

oh snap dude! That's awesome, I'm interested in the rcvs along with the limit strap setup when the time comes.

What an exciting time for you man, looking forward to another killer SAS'd 3rd Gen.

Looks like a hell of a project and you have a huge start with the sales that came through.

At some point I may have to look that way but for now I will just sit here and watch it go down.:faint:

Toyota 8" 3rd member, 5:29, ARB

I will be getting a new Elocker 3rd from you next month, for the rear. 5:29. I will likely keep my current 4:88 chunk, as a "get it home" spare.

I am copying your coilover towers also, and interested in a few more pics when you get it finished up. Thanks!!!
