Guy rear ended me yesterday backing out of his parking stall. What a donkey! Now I got to change my rear bumper before changing my oil for the first time. Just bought my 2014 Sr5 a few months back. I know it's not the end of the world but it still pisses me off. Thanks for letting me vent

Prepping, priming, and painting all the armor I bought . MT OPOR sliders and a full RCI skid set. It's a lot of metal. About half way done at this point. Should get it finished tomorrow and installed Sunday if everything goes right.

[MENTION=98676]cd121082[/MENTION] The emblem was easy. Mask out around it. 4-5 coats of dip. Wait for it to dry. Pull off masking and dip around the emblem. No need to mask around up to the letters as the dip peels right off. You can get in the tiny spaces with a toothpick if need be.

Changed oil in diffs (break in, done), transfer case, and engine oil. Just have to change the transmission fluid and put all the skids back on.

It was actually yesterday but, I got the front end lifted! Bilsteins at 1.75" Definitely gets rid of the rub from the tires and provides a way better ride.
Front driver's side was at 34.5" and is now at 36 & 7/8".
Front Passenger's side was at 34" and is now at 36 & 3/8".
Mind you these measurements were done on my garage floor. As level a surface as I could find, lol. After measuring it looks like I got 2.5" out of it! Looks great though!

Diff Fluid Change

Changed the diff fluid in the front and rear.

I used Amsoil Severe Gear 75W-90. Both magnets on the drain plugs were full of sludge.

I bought a small hand pump yesterday at Canadian Tire that worked wonders for the job.

Lifting the opposite side of the 4Runner helped to remove all of the old oil while it was draining. I let it drip for about an hour before putting the drain plug back in.

I didn't buy new gaskets. Although, I may next time. These will last.

Transfer case next (need more oil).

I called Icon to get a set for mine and the rep actually suggested I go get some universal ones, and said it would cost a lot less....... I did, and it was.

That's awesome! I have the same set of sliders at the powder coat shop and I just primed my RCI skids today...

Installed Shrockworks Sliders

Received my sliders yesterday evening. Excellent packaging! Here are a few pics of them unpacked and installed. These were so much fun to install.
However, after a break and patience got them done. Hope you guys like!

Finally installed the Tekonsha P3 brake controller today.

Changed trans fluid and put the skids back on. I didn't realize how huge of an effect the skids make on tire noise (MTRs). I wish I had brought my db meter to compare, but it seems about 4-5 decibels quieter with them installed, which is a lot.

Trans seems to shift smoother and definitely idles smoother when stopped in gear. ATF does a wonderful job of cleaning your engine compartment, if you put your drain hose on the wrong cooler line :ybrick:

The washers will pretty much last forever, just turn them around each time.

After my 500 mile gear break in, I had chunks and shavings too big to stick to the magnet
I'm not going to worry about the metal flakes on the magnets any more.
