I just modified it a bit to get fitment for the steps. I took extra measurements to get it where I wanted it to end. For example, Antman makes his cuts at 1 3/4" from the chrome but I went to 2 3/4" to bring it down a little further to match the Predator steps. I also put the mud flap "on" and took measurements from the flap to the end of the bar in multiple locations along the curve of the flap and used those to create the curved cutting line of the front portion of the rocker. Did something similar in the back.

What I did today!
Called the Toyota dealer to say, although you replaced the front diff, a different vibration noise is happening. From 42 down to 35 or so, de-accelerating, goes away in 4WD. Needle bearing? Made an appointment! C'mon fix!

Put 1,800 or so miles on a road trip from the Bay Area to Sedona and back again. Included a stop in Kingman AZ and a short side trip on Route 66.
We also accomplished a first-took an off road OHV trail. We took FR525 off 89 to the Palatki and Honanki Ruins, then went on the Outlaw trail. It was a lot harder than what I was thinking and was genuinely worried that I would get stuck or high centered on a rock. Fortunately, with some novice spotting help from my wife, we got thru it ok. Just some rock kisses on our skid plate. [emoji106]
Next up is to wash all that red dust off the truck and out of all of the nooks and crannies.

Installed the Treaty Oak KDSS spacers this weekend. I also mocked up the Eimkeith PCK and it looks like it's going to have my sway-bar almost perfectly level.
Tips for anyone else doing these spacers:
-Breaker bar is a must. Those stock bolts are *TIGHT*, especially after 90k miles.
-Unbolt the front sway bar bolts evenly. Mine was under a lot of tension and wedged a bolt in before it was fully out. I had to use the floor jack to relieve the tension.
-It helps to unbolt both rears at the same time to get the KDSS piston back on the sway bar. Then you'll have to use your floor jack to jack the sway bar up to connect the solid linked end.
-Anti-sieze is your friend.

2022 ORP Upper Grill Change
Hey everyone, sorry for putting this post here. But I cannot create a new thread, and just can't find any way to ask my question.
I am about to pick up a 2022 TRD ORP (this will be my first 4Runner).
I wanted to know:
Can I buy that top grill piece and swap it out with the one that comes on the 2022 ORP? *Not literally buy the one in the picture from the poster, but an OEM take-off on eBay or something*
Would it be a direct drop in fit? Or is there something different about the 2022 ORP bumper/grill that won't let it be a direct swap (As in no dremeling anything to make it fit).
I know its just cosmetic, and sounds petty, but I just can't stand the two chrome bars in the upper grill that come on the 2022 ORP.
I tried looking up the part number on a dealer website for OEM parts. And it said that the upper grill would not fit. I don't know if that was just a flaw in the websites filter, considering they had no 2022 parts listed. So I just wanted to get clarification.

do you mean buy the TRD PRO grille? Are you trying to swap the ORP grille to the TRD PRO or the other way around? many swap for the TRD pro grille and it's pretty easy. take a look at this link

High clearance cut to give those 285/75/17 some breathing room up front. BMC and serious banging made first step possible (thanks for the sweat Apex Overland!) but some plastic cutting was definitely necessary. Went pretty high but love the outcome with a solid set of trim

I bought a Garage door opener momentary switch from CH4x4. Took apart my opener and soldered a button bypass-
Then pulled open the dash and switched out the blank switch-
Works great and was easy (just a bit of soldering). It's almost like it was meant to be... there's a little hidden tray behind the dash that the opener fits into-

Just bought (9 months ago) a 2019 TRD Pro and am slowly getting ready to sell my awesome 2006!
Question - what simple mods are recommended (Live in Montana, don’t get crazy off road but do go deep on FS roads etc)? Certified Pre Owned so still under warranty as well. Got a husky rear liner for cargo, new bike rack is also on the way. Been thinking about new/brighter headlight/fogs, black out kit for rear “4runner” and possibly new tires (Falken Wild Peaks?? Really want a 10 ply that is also decent in snow). Also has anyone done anything about the AC power in the rear? Loved it up front in my 06. Extension cord?
Factory battery good? We camp a ton and I tow a small off road teardrop.
Any other advice/recommendations would be appreciated for this forum rookie (long time lurker, you guys saved me big $$ when I changed out 3 door actuators!).
