New aquisition on the 2004 4runner on saturday, so this weekend was:
Oil+ Filter change (great not having to jack the car up!
TPMS bypass
VSC computer calibration
USB sockets installed
Wheels, Grille and part of bumper plasti-dipped

Did you go with the Eaton E-locker? I did 4.56’s and the Eaton from ECGS last year and it’s been money well spent.

Yes sir - I did 4.10s as I plan on sticking with 33" tires. Pretty happy with it - kinda curious if I should have gone 4.3 for it to hold 5th better on highway inclines. Haven't gotten a chance to use the locker yet, but have a wheeling trip planned next month!
Had the hood up for an oil change and look around for rat damage. Everything looked good until I popped open the air box. Mice had deposited a fair amount of debris against the air cleaner and chewed some of the paper. Rats chewed some of the plastic fins inside the air box. I will inspect the cabin filter next.

This is the first I've heard of rodents in the air intake box, you might want to try and rig a piece of 1/4" hardware cloth over the intake tube in the fender well!

Search “critter mod” here on the forum. I had rodents get into the cabin air filter and built a nest on mine before doing that. Sounds like you need to screen off your air intake too

I’ll probably stick with 33’s too. I think in the off chance I go 35’s I’ll still be ok with 4.56’s. The gear calculators I looked at all said 4.30 was the best to go back to “stock” ratio with 33’s and a lot of people told me to go 4.88. I’m happy with the truck and especially how heavy it is with steel bumpers, skids, sliders and a winch. When I can afford to upgrade the steering and cv axles then maybe I’ll consider 35’s.
I really think you’ll love the e-locker. ATRAC alone is pretty good but it’s a game changer for sure. Enjoy!

Sorry for the delay - missed this. Routing it to the side helps with the known issue of exhaust odor coming in the back window when it’s open and lessens the chance of damage when off-roading.

Installed an additional transmission cooler to try and combat high temps when wheeling and freeway driving now that she’s a heavy girl with all the armor. Used a Hayden 678 universal cooler.

Hit 275K on the way to work today. Eleven years and 179K miles after buying her with 96K in 2014, she's still hands down the best vehicle I've ever had. Looking forward to getting the Overland Tailor Torque Tune this weekend and sharing the difference between it and stock. From this morning:

I had the same thought yesterday and was going to post something similar. I am 18 months into ownership of my '03. 1GR-FE runs like a top. It is plenty peppy. I'll stop grinning now.
AC went out last week on my 03 V8. Shop quoted $2,600 to replace and recharge. While I have never dabbled in vehicle AC, after reading a few tutorials here, and some Youtube courage, I replaced it myself. After parts and refrigerant, I saved just a hair over $2,000. Thanks to this forum for everyone's wealth of knowledge.

I went with a Denso compressor from AutoZone and borrowed the AC tool from them as well. Follow the videos step by step, and it's not too bad. Took me about 5 hours start to finish, and I was very happy I attempted it.
I replaced an a/c compressor in a 1999 Mercedes with a shiny junkyard Denso. Book says to flush lines and replace condenser but that was not in the cards.
Replacing the condenser was recommended for me as well. I watched a how-to video on replacing it and said, 'absolutely not.'
