What's your EDC firearm? And Everything Gun related.

I carry a Ruger 380 LCP either IWB or on the ankle. I replaced the recoil springs on it (something I'd recommend) with heavier ones, which reduces recoil impulse and makes it easier to hang on to. I also have a Glock 42 that I carry on occasion as well. Looking to add a Glock 19 soon, more for target shooting than carry. I had a Glock 27 in 40, but that was my first handgun, and I couldn't shoot well with, so instead of practicing, I sold it. I thought it was a mite thick for a carry gun. Also had an XDS- they are great guns, if you like carrying a 45.

Anyone carry a sccy? Thinking about getting one
When I took my CCW class, a lady had just bought one to use to qualify (we have to load and fire 40 rounds in MO) and she was unable to either rack the slide or pull the trigger, they were both so rough. A buddy of mine shot a magazine through it, and he was able to shoot it with some accuracy, so if you have some patience and hand strength, it might not be a bad gun. Definitely not one to give to the wife though. I believe you get what you pay for with guns for the most part, and Ruger and S&W both have similar options for about $100 more. I'd be inclined to stick with what I know is quality. Just my .02.

Ruger LCP here as well, always IWB. Philly can be a weird place at night...

The 13 lb set here I used I bought here:
https://www.gunsprings.com/Semi-Auto Pistols/RUGER/LCP .380/cID1/mID52/dID422

Midway usa also carries them.
They ship with 9lb springs, so it does make it slightly more difficult to rack the slide. I noticed a significant reduction in Muzzle flip, and a reduction in follow up shot time. And let's face it - with a 380, you are most likely going to have to shoot more than once to stop the threat. I also read that due to poor design, after about 250 rounds, the recoil springs wear out and should be replaced for reliability puposes. My gun had 500+ rounds through it, and the old springs were shot, so that may have been part of the reason for the vast improvement. Hope that helps!

thanks, i figured going full 13lb wasn't too bad.

Not a problem. If it was any other gun, I wouldn't worry about replacing them until they hindered function, but if it's your EDC, it's probably worth the 15 bucks or so to know that it will go bang when it matters. Plus it's super easy to change out. I could tell my old springs were a little mangled on the ends when I pulled them out. Best of luck, and I hope you never have to use it!
