Yes...It is Chinook Pass and it will get 15 to 20 feet of snow. Then when the wind blows, it will drift as high as you sse in the picture.

Go to Google Maps "Chinook Pass, Northwest Yakima."

Then go to "street view" and you can see the pass in the late summer without snow. It will look exactly like my picture except no snow. :thumb3:

Flipping your wipers up prevents ice from getting caked in the joints, and from the wipers getting stuck in the ice on your windshield. Ice can get into the joints in the wiper, which prevents it from flexing, leaving you with only a thin strip being wiped by the rigid wiper.

Rainier does get a lot of snow but if you really want to see deep snow, go to Crater Lake. The National Park Service keeps the south entrance to Crater Lake open year round.

The average snowfall for Crater Lake is 533 inches (44 feet). And it holds the record for the most snowfall with 224 inches (18.6 feet) in one winter storm.
If you ever get a chance to make it to Crater lake in the winter, let alone the summer, it will something you always remember.

I found it up in the woods out of Mount Rainier Park. Probably stolen, stripped and then set on fire. State troopers tagged it with florescent orange paint with a date to let others know that the state police know its there. Also had a bunch of bullet holes, somebody used it for target pratice. olice:

Yeah, I've turned on the wipers in the morning and the rubber stayed with the windshield and the arms kept going! I always put them up now...

Yeah, Crater Lake is BA! I've only been up there in the summer though. I have gone fishing on the Rouge twice and it was awesome too!! Have you been to that spot on the Rouge where all the living tree stumps are? That's crazy!
