Yeah, Crater Lake is BA! I've only been up there in the summer though. I have gone fishing on the Rouge twice and it was awesome too!! Have you been to that spot on the Rouge where all the living tree stumps are? That's crazy!

What is the record snowfall for, the PNW, US?

I grew up in Southern Oregon and Crater Lake was only a 3 hour drive. It was kinda like my backyard. Spent a lot of time there in my youth and have been to the Living stumps. It is right by The Natural Bridge. Did you visit that?

The Natural Bridge is where the Rouge River flows through a lava tube and the river disappears for about 200 feet. When you walk on top of the bridge the whole ground shakes. Awesome!

Here are some pictures that I pulled off the net of Crater Lake Lodge which sits right on the rim of the lake.

Wow that's a a lot of snow! That place reminds me of The Shining! Especially in that snow pic! Yeah, I went to the Natural Bridge too and saw all the old lava tubes! That whole area is so amazing! I'll definitely be going back there again!

Snow

Here in Columbia, MO we were part of that midwest snow storm this week :frog: Got 18'' and couldn't be happier to be a 4-runner owner for it!

Adio3x, a buddy, and I went out to tool around in the snow for a little while. Nothing special but here's some pics.

So, a couple of us from Calgary did a little wheelin this past Saturday. Being that it was April 2nd, I figured we would run a trail that forced us to turn around a couple weeks earlier due to a massive amount of snow that had drifted in the trail. Even the trucks on 35's were winching through drifts only to get stuck again the second after unhooking the winch.

I was really we would be able to make it to the end of trail to check out the waterfall that's there. Unfortunately, we got turned around early again and tried some other trails that weren't quite as high and steep hoping for less snow. We broke trail the entire time. This is what we found.... (copied from CT4WD where a few other memebers have posted their pics)

Found a Jeep in the ditch on the way to the trails... and much to the drivers dismay my brother and his friends took a picture

This was one of the trucks helping recover her. He had pulled himself into the ditch in the process. We asked if they needed help but a large enough group of trucks had stopped to help and we were waved off

I need to move to Calgary. We don't have any snow anymore. So much for a banner winter...

It snowed like crazy all day non stop. That blue tacoma is on a 6" lift and 35's and was buried up to his hood most of the day it seemed.

While not with us one of the other members was somewhere enjoying the snow. He got some pretty damn cool footage, even if it isn't a 4runner Not sure where he was but it'd say our drive out of the trails back to the main road looks a lot similar, but with maybe a touch more snow. I know most of it for me was spent sideways clutch kicking the top of third gear with the locker on. Lockers, massive snow banks to protect from deep ditches and balding all season tires are sooo much fun.

The landcruiser is a beast on duratracs. It was either him or the tacoma on Mickey Thompson MTZ's breaking trail. No idea how I made it along with them. Every winter run I show up and feel like a jackass but somehow between the locker and luck make it just as far if not further than others.

There were a couple times I was behind them driving in their tracks and ended up pushing a pile of snow halfway up my headlights. Then began the backing up and ramming process. Stock truck on balding 265/70/16's, a definite testimate to the capabilities of a 4Runner

I pulled out a H2 - this is after many pulls including one where he was able to back up a bit after I had just yanked him forward. Strap went tight and was best described as my looking like a chiwawa on a choke chain
