I'm glad the thread was recovered. I didn't read it in the past and I am sort of sad I didn't. Glad we were able to recover it and clean it up some, very interesting read. Best of luck Josh.

As others expressed I'm just glad it was kept up to inform others of the issue/issues at hand, albeit there was some bantering the documents, facts, and interaction by both companies that was submitted truly is informative of the overall issue in question. While I agree deleting did take it away and leave the rest of the public blind to the matter, locking it is the best possibility I believe.
Like most people who have a lot of effort and input into situations/jobs etc that usually goes under appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to listen and making changes for the better.

When researching info and attempting to gather an overall consensus from all points of view in order to be able to, as an individual, form ones own opinion on a subject, it would be very difficult to trust a medium of information knowing that certain information can simply be "removed". (Although having the information edited can allude to much the same effect.)
Closing the thread was likely necessary.

Being a new member here I'm very glad to see that this thread was restored. I can understand how a moderator could be tempted to just make such a mess disappear, but it's a much better service to the community that the time was taken to weed out the truly objectionable and retain the highly informative and important discussion that's also there. This effort is particularly significant in a case like this one where there are legitimate concerns regarding the potential for undue influence and conflicts of interest. The forum is stronger today for having shown both integrity and discipline here. Thank you.

This was one of the crazier things I've seen on this site. This place should never be censored, but there is a fine line between a civil discussion and inciting mobbish behavior. While more posts were respectful and knowledge based than not, the spillover into personal lives and discussion outside of the forum was reprehensible. In my opinion, the more vocal members should realize that many more people who don't register here are viewing this site as an information hub, and should hold that in some kind of regard when positioning your words.
I'm not trying to step into this any further, and I realize sides have already been taken in the issue, but I'd like you to see a glimpse of the other end. This is just one of the messages sent to Gobi.
I don't care much whose side people are on here, but people's emotions took precedence over facts and encouraged keyboard warriors to write stuff like this. If everyone were interested purely in the facts and didn't immediately reach for the pitchforks, I think it could have gone a lot better. I think it's a learning lesson for everyone involved, but I expected better out of the community. Hopefully we have a better tone moving forward that's more conducive to information and logical discussion.

I'd suggest you delete it. As it is, YOU posted it, so it speaks worse of you than whomever wrote it.

I'd rather everyone see what the earlier discussion can propagate. I'm a forum member first and my only beef has been with how people here handled it. If you wouldn't say it to someone's face it's probably best kept to yourself.

I was forwarding this from Gobi. And while I understand trolling and other online nuances, the people who received this are not as internet savvy. People at that company were/are scared for their own lives and their families based off the messages they received. They are in the process of receiving a very harsh introduction to the online world.
As for stoking fires, I know a lot of people here personally, and some for a long time. That's never been my agenda. I am not interested in appeasing people I don't know, but I am always available via PM if anyone would like a civil discussion. Otherwise I have nothing else for this.
