Cup holder and shift indicator are not neo bulbs iirc, they are 74 or 73, whatever size wedge bulb

Neo bulbs have the plastic base that allows them to be screwed in.



73/74 wedge are straight push in and play, usually with clear plastic squared off bottom

Cup holder and shift indicator are not neo bulbs iirc, they are 74 or 73, whatever size wedge bulb

This is the list I used from [MENTION=142282]ZebRuaj[/MENTION]


Neo4 / T4 Neo Wedge
*2x for LCD screen. You need the low power 6v ones as the 12v LED's won't power on. Or do the 12v mod/wiring. Or order from the other site in the previous comments.
*1x for 4x4 switch. I had to grind the sides of the T4 to slide into bulb hole.

Neo3 / T3 Neo Wedge
Everything else.
*1 for each HVAC back light control (3x). The indicator tips are soldered onto the board. That's a different process.
*1x rear defrost
*1x recirc
*1x reset/mode on clock
*1x rear window switch
*1x for DAC switch
*1x for diff lock switch
*1x for hazard? I left mine alone.

I'm aware what a neo wedge bulb is, I've ordered probably $30 bucks worth of them in the past month and they all either don't fit or don't work. I know the sizes too. That's why I was curious which specific leds you ordered... i.e. The ones with the clear plastic tips or the one that's just an led soldered on there. My experience with these things has been sub par so far so I want to make sure the next time I order, that the damn things will actually work.

Ahh yea i ordered my neo wedge from here : http://www.wardenjp.com/stores/neowedge.html

They fit pretty well, minimal tinkering to get them to fit. I got the neo wedge led, third option down, not the smd led ( second option)

The beam isn't the best, there are some hot spots, but better to have some light than not at all right?

to tell u the truth i dont really care if they arent bright at all because i already have a tinted cover over my plate and in SC it doesnt really matter. i see ppl with the lights burned out on their license plate all the time. cops just dont want to waste their time stopping someone because some license plate bulbs are out ha

I am new to this forum, just purchased my 4runner about a week ago. Have you done a dash light swap on your T4R? I want to swap out the Amber for White lights, and I need some more guidance because this is all very new to me!

The arrow indicators and recir/defrost indicators are all soldered 3mm LEDs. there are plenty of threads with pictures to get you going. if you are uncomfortable doing the dash or HVAC soldered LEDs, i offer a swap service.

Are there clear non led lights that can go in the HVAC backgrounds? I believe they are NEO3s. But I'm not in love with how bright one side of the dial is and not the other.

There are colored incadecence bulbs, but they are VERY dim. I tried them in red and could barely see the light. Much happier with the neo 3mm leds in there

If the leds are straight on. They are fantastic. But if they need to spread like on the background of the ac controls. It leaves some to be desired. If I dim them just right it's not too bad I guess

I ordered the SMD versions from the jpwarden site people have been posting, but the info display still doesn't light up (yes, I tried switching the polarity).

Also, the neo 3 wedges I ordered from him are slightly larger than the hole (I think it's because of the PCB under the SMD).

Has anybody filed these down and gotten them to fit right?

most just do the 12v mod.. those 6v are tough to come by..

Look at your new 4 base's the led wire may not be touching your HVAC power pads. You might have to rearrange or loosen the wires to get a connection.

Just tried adjusting the Wire stop make sure they are making a connection. Still no luck.

I guess they are 12v???

I'm curious how others used he same ones Plug N Play????

Do you have the bulbs with acrylic dome top? Or just the led?
