I did something similar using Kayak hoists, might be a likewise inexpensive, off-the shelf solution for some people! Just fyi.

7. 100Pcs 1/8" Aluminum Crimping Loop Sleeve Crimps
8. 16Pcs M3 Stainless Steel Thimble Rigging for Wire Rope Cable
9. 3/8" X 1 1/4" DROP FORGED MACHINERY EYE BOLTs, qty 8 (Chicago Hardware)
10. Threaded Quick Link Carabiner 5/16-Inch Diameter, 2-Pack x 2

It's fairly easy to work with Plio Grip. Flows very well but dries quickly so get a few extra mixing tubes.
Sanding is OK, takes a bit of time but not bad. Lots of dust, though. I used a mask when I was sanding.

If you have all the parts the whole thing can be done, ready to paint, in one easy day.

Super Easy and Cheap Headlight Replacement

It's super cheap and easy to replace the headlights. Found some OE Lamps on Amazon for ~$300. Most difficult part is reattaching the outside nut in the wheel well.

Yep, that's the long and the short of it. Followed this video's process, and everything applied and excess peeled away exactly as shown. Took maybe an hour for both front and back.

I considered the trim paint option, but the weather cooled off significantly, so I wasn't really in the mood to disassemble the vehicle (those bumper valances clip in through and behind the main bumper). In time, those bumpers, especially the front, will be replaced with something different, so the quick option was the winner.

Did my front 4 or 5 years ago with Plasti-Dip. It’s taken a beating but still going strong. This is the day I crushed my “extra” front skid.

Replaced all lower door speakers with Rockford Fosgates
Replaced all bulbs on HVAC panel
Cleaned MAF

Things to do:
Remove running boards...might still do that today
Order a set of 5100s or find some 2nd hand

Rockford Fosgates. Yes they sound a bit cleaner, better mids/highs and louder. You won’t get thumping bass without a sub but it’s worth the $45 per pair I think

Front swaybar delete.

Body Mount chop.

Extended rear SS brake lines.

Hand woven Paracord attic cargo net.

Kydex firearm holster in center console.



Many of these mods are from this thread and I've been working on them for years. I finally, this week, finished reading through the entire thread lol. I want to thank everyone for the great ideas and trailblazing work you've all done here.

I’d love to see pics of the holster and the cargo net.

Also, why delete the sway bar?

It gives a bit more flex in the front and softens things up if you have stiffer front springs. Made a world of difference for me, and is only really noticeable under hard braking/cornering when the vehicle's weight is shifted forward.

Stole Got_boost's idea (thanks! :thanks and hoisted up the RTT. Only major change was using a AC winch vs a hoist, so I could pull horizontally and mount to the ceiling without much fabrication.

I've been meaning to get some pics of the mods added here. If I wasn't lazy Id actually start a build thread lol.

Like kcdehart said it adds a little more travel to the suspension and the effect of the on road manners hasn't suffered.
It definitely doesn't seem to teeter as much when the trail gets twisty. I have a 3" Toytec suspension lift.

Looking for some easy weekend mods
one that i have found was the VSC disconnect, this mod is a must have any other suggestions

If you want to turn all that off just unplug your 02 sensor lol. I have a bad one and it automatically turns it all off.

Satoshi grille mod done, finally. Fitting the mesh was a royal PITA even though it was pre-cut and pre-bent. I'm very satisfied with the outcome.
