Was thinking about this for a while but never got around to it.

I am working on it today thru out the work day, so its not done yet. BUT i have done it for customers as a added touch when their vehicle is in getting other work done.

Yep. and yep...I had read a cartalk puzzler about how new cars would arrive at the dealership with dead batteries...it was because of the mercury level switches in the trucks that would turn on the trunk light because the cars were stacked at a angle in the rail cars.

So, you could us it as a switch to turn on underhood or trunk lighting. Use it part of an alarm system where you mount it at a preset angle, so if your car is towed, it would either sound the alarm or turn it off. Use as a warning system for offroading (as mentioned by Smobien)...if you reach a certain angle, it would set off warning lights (hey, you are about to flip over!)...
