Most of the new double dins aren't constant ground detection, all you need is a momentary ground switch. BUTTTT I can't say for sure on that deck, most either need a ground constant to simulate parking brake switch continuity or I had a double din before that needed only a momentary ground.

This is right. What i had to do for mine awhile back was install a switch so i could ground and un-ground it when i was wanting to use the DVD function or to play movies while driving/not having the E-Brake engaged.

mounted my used duratracs on some tundra rims and got my alignment done.

now I'm just waiting for my spacers (thanks for looking out for these [MENTION=53337]SCRunner12[/MENTION]) and thanks to [MENTION=48920]Big John[/MENTION] for the sale and shipping them out today.

sounds great! but my bypass that i made for the dvd player didn't end up working ...

does anyone have any ideas why it wouldn't?
i used a 12v relay.
BLUE REMOTE WIRE --- 85 ON RELAY
GREEN HANDBRAKE WIRE -- 30 ON RELAY
BLACK GROUND WIRE -- 86 ON RELAY ALSO ATTACHED TO 87..

...

used a wiring harness that i got from ebay for toyota's so i didn't have to splice any factory wiring.

I have the same deck. Have never been able to get it to play a dvd. (it came with the 4runner when I bought it)

>>>> its fine.. my only advice is do super light coats approximately 12” away and mask off really good because the over spray is still on my car from doing my emblems :-(..

but it can come off super easily with a little rubbing alcohol and a micro fiber cloth.... so no biggie

LOL . the hardest part i think when installing lifts is reaching the top of the rear shock mount. My body lift made it way easy to get in there.

haaahahah ... i wish i knew about T4R when i got my first 4runner 10+ years ago...... would have saved me a bunch of grief ...

i was thinking either meet in SF or Santa Cruz and drive either up or down highway 1.... stop by the brewery 1/2 way down and stop by the beach for a pic-nic of sorts.....lots of pics for sure....
