Hey all, I recently traded into this '95 SR5, 22RE, 5 speed, 176k miles. She was stock and about as basic as you can get:
First thing was to procure a more off-road capable set of tires to replace the stock 28"x9.5"xR15's. Found these for $50 on craigslist, 31"x10.5"xR15:
Plastidipped and installed:
The rear bumper was hanging a little cock-eyed, so I removed it. Also installed Firestone RideRite airbags in the rear coils and a set of Rancho RS9000xl variable shocks front and rear, and put a new set of Hankook Dynapro's on. Here's she is currently on a trip to our property east of the Cascades:
Future plans for the Redbot: 33's and regearing, front and rear bumper replacement with winch, roof cargo rack, lights.... maybe swap the engine out for a 3.4 or a Hilux diesel.... One can dream!
