Make sure you have the USB plugged into the entune module!! Won't work on the radio itself anymore. I did indeed register just to help you. I couldn't find anyone who had this same issue and posted about it. Thanks for the pics.

And everyone else...

These headunits are available all day for about $120, and generally you can get the wiring you need too. Search junkyards, when you talk to them, tell them you need the wiring.

The junkyards list them on eBay for 2x when their actual selling price is (110-115) if you call directly... They'll sell for that + shipping.

I've bought 2 of them from different junkyards in the past month. Both ended up at 130 shipped. It's hard to find the entune modules though.. eBay is best.

This fixed my flaky NAV accuracy. I think you joined the forum just in time to help me. Thank you very much!!! I did have some difficulty finding that purple wire to tap, so I am including a pic for others in case they need this too.



Only thing left is the USB, I think I will order another cable, its either that or the headunit itself, I have tried everything else including plugging in a thumb drive, but it still doesn't see anything.

Dang this looks good, I wanna do this to mine but the link you posted for the camera is sold out. When you put your vehicle in reverse does the camera automatically show up on your screen? Also I don't have the bespoke navigation module in my vehicle, will this still work?

Where did you mount the microphone for the Bluetooth? Also, do you have any idea what those black pads are for that came with the microphone kit?

I mounted mine on top of the steering column, between the wheel and instrument panel. The black pads could be the sticky pad to affix it to the column.

Yes, NAV isn't required for the camera. I just figured since I was doing this, I would go all out and do the NAV too. I actually started this process by finding the NAV unit first. It was a good price, so I bought it. After that, I started looking for the Head Unit on ebay. I didn't think to try junkyards. The cabling, I got from online Toyota dealers like Conicelli or I got stuff off ebay. The camera was on ebay too, but they have a website as well.

I mounted my mic at the top of the A pillar.

Not sure what the black pads were for, mine went into the garbage. I assumed they were to hold the cable down or something if running along a flat surface since they were sticky on one side.

What serch terms did you use on Ebay? I have a saved search on the part number, but that doesn't return many hits. Thanks!

I searched for the part number. Maybe you could also try Scion Touchscreen or something like that. When I searched, it came back with about 5 or 6, most were in the 350.00 range which I think would be too much especially since you can go aftermarket for 699.00 which would include NAV.

No, it still isn't working. I have not tried a new cable though, it's not a big deal to me since the bluetooth works for my ipod, but I will tackle that issue when weather gets warmer.

Thanks, that's what I was starting to figure out... The only way it works is to bypass the factory JBL amps... too much work at this point. Thanks for the reply though.

I have the touchscreen Scion radio that has worked perfectly for me. Recently I switched phones to a Moto Pure Edition and the Bluetooth phone voice quality is horrible. This occurred around the same time I had the dash replaced. People can hear me fine, but the voice coming through the radio is garbled. This is true for any audio from the phone. The voice quality is fine directly through the phone.The odd thing is, if I move the phone around, say away from the dash and up, the quality improves. I was wondering if there is an "antenna" or something they could have not reconnected that would cause there symptoms with the Bluetooth? Thanks!

iirc the bluetooth in the pure edition is flaky, especially if you are running custom firmware. are you one of those? is the phone updated to the latest firmware? if you have no idea what i'm talking about i can point you to some links for help.

point is, its probably the phone. try another phone.

Thanks for the reply. My phone is stock, not rooted, no custom firmware. i would have guessed the phone as well, except if i hang the phone from the rear view mirror, for example, it works fine. Only happens when the phone is near the dash, almost like an antenna issue. I'll try another phone and see what happens. And, check the firmware version.Thanks again.

That's true in my case also. My problem is the audio I hear through the radio speakers is very distorted and garbled...
