interesting... usually if you change part numbers they wont do it for FREE under the TSB as that is how they get "reimbursed"I then called him back and asked him if it is the same cost, could he order the "TE" lights instead of the SR5....again, no problem. They were installed today in less then 1 hour.
Just a heads up my service manager said stock is getting low on these.... there was a delay getting one of my lights. Get in and get em before they are on backorder

Put in my comments/complaints to Toyota Corporate. I basically had it known that
- I had the T4R at the dealer for the headlights (documented) PRIOR to warranty expiration and the dealership was unsure how to proceed.
- Dealership had previously stated that they may have to "just replace the lights under warranty."
- TSB was issued AFTER the expiration of warranty and now dealership will not replace them. (Not covered under Toyota Platinum Extended Warranty)
- Me = Not a happy camper.
I tried to focus in on the fact that 2010 owners were put at a significant disadvantage in that the TSB was issued at such a late date even though Toyota was "aware" that there was an issue, and that most 2010's (excluding trailer queens and garage kings) would have exceeded 36k by the time the TSB was issued.
If you had previously taken your 2010 in and had the headlight issue documented and now you are past 36k and the dealer will not replace the under warranty on the merits of the TSB, please call Toyota (800-331-4331) and open a case with them.
Finally got mine done today. Seven hours for the headlights, driveshaft and oil change. I had to get a rental car but they picked up the tab. Looks good though! Hopefully these don't haze...
Well, finally got an answer from Toyota! Just a word of advice, if you do not hear from Toyota in a timely manner, please call and check on the status of your case. The CSR had accidentally clicked on the wrong button and closed out my case number and it had to be reopened. Final verdict: Go and have your headlights replace and send us (Toyota Corporate) the bill and we will reimburse you for parts, labor and sales tax. I also plan on asking for a driver while she's down and it they want to charge me for that too, I'll send them the bill for that as well.
