Barry White Build Thread

Wussup ya'll..... *Barry white voice*

Worked on ole BW the last couple days.

Tinted my Amazon tail light and installed it. Y'all probably already know but Taiwan $80 tail lights don't fit like OEM.

I'm not mad... But I'm not real happy.

Also installed my slider lights. I'll post more info later but here's a teaser. (They run off the interior light circuit.)

Great job on your build here, not afraid to get a little abusive with it I see. I can tell we would have fun running together.

So I bought some LED "Spot" lights off amazon, which I intended to use on CBI ditch light brackets.

These lights

Got the brackets today... Installed the lights. Yeah they suck.
I mean... They work, but they are not spots. They're like floods, with a bright spot in the middle. So I just ordered some 7" HIDs off eBay.

Btw, CBI brackets rock. Instructions kinda suck, but the brackets are dope.

I know this isn't the place to ask since build threads are kind of ignored on here.... , but what is the trick to getting the OTRTTW switches to stay in the console? Maybe I dremeled out too much material... I dunno. I push the switch down... The wire pushes it right back out. I'm considering super glue but I'll wait and see if I get a response.

About to run some wires on some pushbuttons switches, not sure if there the same ones, but, are factory knock offs, will let you know if I have the same problem.

swapmeet.... I got these ones through cruserhead.
I put mine in the center console, 1popped in and locked, 2 popped in and when I pushed the button, same thing happened.
Had to wiggle them a little to get the arms to sit in there slot.
Not sure if they are the same mounting as yours, but, this was my out come.

Thanks, the OTRTTW switches have little wings on the ends. I almost wonder if I need to remove some of the depth from the edge of the hole so they will engage.

I just tried to draw what I'm talking about in paint and it looks like... poop.

Annnnnnd I just did 4 different google searches trying to find the BACK of the switch to show what i'm talking about and there's nothing.

I am failure.

New lights.
The light output and beam pattern is far superior to the LEDs I had.

I'll try to get some shots of it lit up.

I'm not sure if I'm gonna keep them up there.
I was gonna buy that front light bar kit thing but then changed my mind. Seller is weird.

I'm tired of buying lights at the moment. So we'll see.

These ridiculous HID's made me realize how dingy my OEM bulbs look. I ordered some HID's on Fleabay, can't believe how cheap they are now. $30 shipped. Crazy.

On the fogs, I decided to get yellow halogen lights. Two reasons.
One, they were $5 SHIPPED, and two, my passenger fog light has water in it from the deep mud puddles where I go wheeling. The bulb hasn't blown out yet. So I figure I'll keep running the halogen style bulb vs shattering a HID bulb because of water ingress.

I'm waiting to see some of the Mojave Mad Man light bars installed. I may relocate these massive HID's to the front.
