CAI Install troubles; MAF sensor doesn't fit new Toyota CAI tube

I'm attaching pictures to illustrate my problem. It might be simply an issue that the seller sent me the wrong part #.

Is there a difference between PTR03-89100 or PTR03-35090? I thought the first one was the one for a 5th Gen 4Runner (that I gathered somewhere on this forum).

The problem illustrated by your picture is ....you have the wrong one.

PTR03-89100 is the right one for the 5th Gens and PTR03-35090 is the wrong one,you can see the part number on the paper in the pic and yes there is definitely a difference.

W/ everything already taken apart I'm not sure what I should do. I told the seller specifically the part # and the model vehicle. Some of the parts sorta fit and then obviously, the tube didn't at all. Can anyone recommend what I should do? This was scheduled as a weekend project for me, and I need the vehicle on the road by Monday morning. Is there a reputable parts supplier that I could get the correct part from shipped to me overnight?

The pipe you have depicted in the above photo, did you try swapping ends to see if it can fit any better? (if that is even possible, I am not sure what the other end looks like)

If that is the closest you can get it to fitting I would definitely stop at this point and just put everything back to stock. (I am assuming you have all the factory parts still)

There's no sense in trying to rig this to work when you should've been provided with the correct parts in the first place. I would just contact the seller and try to get this straightened out ASAP.

This is a TRD intake we are talking about, not some knock off. It should have a factory fit and finish right out of the box. I understand you are probably anxious to get this done and over with, but don't compromise just for the sake of finishing it in a hurry. Do it once and do it right

It was surprising to me how fast I could put it back to the way it was, compared to how long it took to put the (wrong) piece on.
