Easy Weekend Mods

thinking of plasti dipping my wheels...wondering which colour is best...

1. charcoal [dark gray]
2. black

my tuck is galactic grey mica...........for a titanuim silver car, what color would be better?

My vote would be for charcoal... it would look good with either color, IMO.

how is the foot room with this mod, it seems a little in the way.. would back seat riders have it touching the back of their calves, are those bolts gonna be rubbing up against the passengers ... good idea

Fortunately for me, it's just my kids in the back seat when we aren't in the Landcruiser (family car) and with the car seats it's kind of like a foot rest. The end of the bolts do stick out a bit and obviously I could have gone with a shorter length, but outside of initial enty/exit it's pretty much out of the way. What I like the best is that I can still fold down the rear seats if necessary.

Thanks-

Regarding the hi-lift on the rear seat hinges. When I go out camping etc. I normally just remove the back seat bottom. With the bottom removed I gain a few extra inches of useable cargo space. Looks like I coud secure the jack down there and still flip down the rear seat backs.

Looks like a great solution!

If you try this out, let us know how it works! I take the seat bottoms out too, to fit an air mattress in the back. If I could keep a high lift in that location, while also laying the seats down, that would be great!
Great idea, OP!

you can never go wrong with black. i have plasti dipped a lot on my truck and what i have learned from doing my rims is
1. 1 can per wheel
2. i like to keep them in warm water between coats
3. if you are taking the rims off the truck and laying them down i would not use the last of the can.
i got some texture on one wheel from the last of a can because of tilting the can to spray the wheel while sitting on the ground.

Installed my 1" body lift! Went in really easy. Took about 7 hours all by myself including the steering extension.

Today I plasti-dipped the part of the side mirrors that connects them to the car. They were faded and beginning to get rough and almost splintered, so I coated them. Went on well, no issues. Sorry, no pics, but an easy, simple "mod" nonetheless.
