Only because so few of my dearest friends will read this, (it's not like this is open for just anyone in the world to look at, right? ;-) the facts are:
Wednesday morning, I carpooled my daughters and another child to school. I met my work carpool partner at the Walmart by the freeway, to drop my T4R, making it easier for him. I don't do this very often at all. Wednesday night, instead of going to Walmart, he dropped me at my house. I got the mail, and didn't think about or even notice that my Sexy Beast wasn't there. I was too busy looking at the mail, of course. I didn't leave my house until Thursday morning, when I walked up the street to get picked up by my carpool partner. Thursday night, when I got home, I got the mail and went inside. (Now, when I walk out of the house to go up the street, or come from the mailbox, I would need to look in the direction of the T4R to even see her.) Next thing that happened was someone came by to pick up some concert tix that I was selling. I went outside to meet him... and walked right by where my truck usually sits. IT WAS GONE!!!!! HOLY SHIZZLE!!!!! I called the GF, who was out of town for a couple of days and on her way home. She was in disbelief as well. I called the carpool partner, he was in shock too! So, I called the police, insurance, texted my friends and family with my tale of woe, made the OP on this forum, etc. The police came, I swore my T4R was in the driveway Thursday morning. He also spoke to my neighbor, who is outside smoking all the time. He swore he saw it too on Thursday morning, but not during the afternoon! WOW, we have it narrowed down to a few hours! I started worrying about all of the nice extras on the truck, how State Farm would treat me, etc. Oh, I was all set to go with red instead of the same bad luck gray! Well, the GF showed up, we had dinner and went to bed. At about 2:30am, I woke up. Honey, my T4R is at Walmart! She is sound asleep, but agrees to drive in her car the 3 miles to check it out. Sure enough, she is THERE! (Of Course!) Picked her up, drove home (hoping not to get stopped in the "stolen" vehicle, as it would been guns drawn and lots of shouting) and called the police. This morning, I left a VM with State Farm, when he called me back, he said that this happens frequently.
In my defense, we have had two terribly stressful days at work, my carpool partner wanted to meet his wife near my house, (the entire ride home, she was lost, and we were trying to direct her over the phone, which was a big distraction) and I simply lost track of where my T4R was parked.
I hope all of you enjoyed this. Forum Master, PLEASE MAKE THIS GO AWAY!!! ;-)
