'97 V6 ISR Removal Hoses Right?

I did the ISR via yotatech, el CHEAPo style, even emailed a couple over there asking, and here, but no reply yet. Just wanted to know if my hoses are right. I believe the 96-98's 3.4L are sort of unique since they have an "extra" hose for the power steering pump. ALSO, I wondered about the possibility of redundancy in the hoses and maybe there was a way to use less.

I am going to give you some constructive criticism and say "it looks like chit".

The hoses for the power steer idle control is hooked up to itself. It is not functioning as it sits now.

You have a plastic bung that looks so out of place.

You will net no performance gain with what you got but you will lose some power when you steer into parking lots.

Reinstall the factory pieces and enjoy your 4runner.

Thanks for the response! I haven't noticed any steering loss in parking lots. But I think I will put the three boxes back or maybe drill and put hose connections on the end caps so I can keep the engine sound with acceleration. That extra hose on my model confused me from the yota forums.

the only benefit this can give you is noise...

the OP on that forums says "it takes time to fill these chambers with air" what he is implying is that instead of the air going straight into your motor, it has to take a detour and fill these boxes first...THIS IS LUDICROUS..... What are the boxes full of when the engine is not running??? Antimatter? the voids help to take the "vibrations" out of the intake air to make it more quite inside the cab. The chambers or chambers he is referring to are full of air even when they are not on the vehicle.....

I did do this on my 2000 Tacoma BTW just to clean up the engine bay....but it helps nothing measurable..

Tons of people do it, like the throttle body gasket trim.. If you want a little more more power and perhaps better mileage I have heard good things about converting to electric fans... I have not done it myself, but the conventional fans do make a LOT of parasitic drag.

I only manage about 17 highway mileage… and it pisses me off so i might go ahead and try to put on an electric fan.
