Hi I am from Alberta Canada, just looking around debating whether to buy a 4Runner or not.
I used to drive a Jeep YJ, 88+01 Cherokee, the Grand Cherokee I owned didnt last long.
But with fuel prices the way they are, its expensive these days.

So yeah, 22RE's look good, not common anymore.
V6's seem to get 12mpg city and 16mpg highway

Yes I do wheel offroad.

Does anyone know if the 4Runner has more room inside the suv compared to the Jeep Cherokee or Grand?
I am thinking I need to go to the junk yard and compare them both.
The 4Runner looks to have more room judges by the exterior pictures.

Welcome, Im in Alberta too just outside of Calgary.

I feel most people here will push to say the t4r is the better choice, and if it says anything I'm in the midst of buying a 4th Gen 4runner mostly for reliability and the rare gem I found.

Which years are you looking at?

I’m just outside of Calgary as well, I have a 3rd Gen and I have a few friends with the unibody xj cherokee and Id say there’s more room in my 3rd gen, the xj may be a little wider, but I think I have more room lengthwise. There are a few pretty nice 4runners on Kijiji if you look really really hard
